Ralph J. Hayford

Ralph Joseph Hayford age 75 of Montgomery, MN (formerly of Le Sueur) died peacefully at his home on Friday morning August 5, 2016. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur, MN with visitation prior to the service from 9:00 - 11:00 at the church. Ralph was born on January 10, 1941 in his family home near St. Thomas, MN to Ralph and Agnes (Rogalla) Hayford. He grew up in Le Sueur, MN attending St. Anne's Parochial School and Le Sueur High School. He married Sheryl Eikenberry on May 6, 1959. He worked for the Green Giant Container Division for 44 years (currently known as Silgan Containers). He was an avid outdoorsman and spent his retirement years training dogs for upland game hunting. He loved every dog dearly and every dog dearly loved him. He is survived by his wife Sheryl, Children; Joel (Lori Miller) Hayford of Waseca, MN; Lisa (Cody) Thurmer of Gaylord, MN. 6 grandchildren; Branden (Elise), Trent (Alyssa), Ben, Travis, Courtney and Caitlyn: 3 great-grandchildren, Reagan, Robyn and Ryan. Sibling; Mary (Rick) Keenan of Lakeville, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and sibling Margery Hallum.
