Rand John Jackson

Rand John Jackson, age 74 of Mankato, formerly of St. Peter, MN died on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Water’s Edge Assisted Living in Mankato, MN.  Funeral service will be on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Sunrise Church in St. Peter, MN, 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023.  Visitation will continue the morning of the service from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.  Lunch at church will follow the service followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato, MN.

Rand was born on February 8, 1948 in St. James, MN to John and Ruth (Gould) Jackson. He graduated from St. James High School and attended Mankato Technical College.  He married Georgia Klaseus on September 12, 1976.  Rand worked at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center for 40 years, retiring in 2013.  He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and various antiques.  He enjoyed attending antique Car Shows, flea markets and summer garage sales.  He loved reading and watching science fiction and forensic science books, movies and working on anything car related.  He owned and operated his own car repair business, “Rand’s Repair” for over 30 years.  His greatest joy was his grand children and spending time with them.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Aaron) Howe of St. Peter; Son, Timothy Jackson; Granddaughter, Ireland Howe; Grandsons; Zach (Dani) Rewald, Christian (Amira Mendoza) Holmes, Cameron Jackson, Lucas Howe and Logan Howe. Great Grandson castile Holmes. Great Grand Daughter Harper Rewald. Brother Alan (Sandra)Jackson, Sister Lynette Noren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Georgia Ann Jackson: Parents, John and Ruth Jackson Grandmother, Helen Verhage and brother-in-law, Jerry Noren.
