Randy “Bubba” Lee Baumgard, age 64, of Jordan, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 28, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 3, at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, MN, with Rev. Wayne Waibel officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00–7:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, at the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Randy was born on September 23, 1961, in Paynesville, MN, to Vernon and Gesina (Klooster) Baumgard. He was baptized on Palm Sunday in 1962 and was later confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine, MN. He grew up in Jordan, MN and graduated from Jordan High School in 1980, forming lifelong friendships and a strong connection to his hometown.
On May 19, 2001, Randy married Marian (Moriarty) See. Together, they built a life centered around family in the home Randy grew up in. He worked for Norwesco, Sport Wheels, MN Valley Garden Center and RBE. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skills as a mechanic.
Randy will be remembered for his love of family above all else. He had a gift for storytelling and could always hold a room with a great story, often bringing laughter to those around him. He was known for his steady presence, his willingness to help others, and the pride he took in fixing cars and working with his hands. He deeply loved his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Many will also remember Randy for his striking blue eyes and the warmth behind them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Gesina Baumgard; his father-in-law, Patrick Moriarty; his sisters-in-law, Kristin Baumgard and Maureen (Moriarty) Maxon; and other beloved family members.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Marian; his mother-in-law, Florence Moriarty; his sons, Jeremy (Alicia) See and Michael (Kayla) See; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandson; and his siblings, Renee (Larry) Spangenberg, Dean (Julie) Baumgard, Denise (Tom) Johnson, and Gary Baumgard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.
Randy’s legacy lives on in the stories shared, the lessons he passed down, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him.
