Raymond Tiegs

Raymond Tiegs, age 86 of Le Center and formerly of Belle Plaine, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Central Health Care Center in Le Center. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Sarah Timian will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service on Monday morning. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Ray was born in Le Sueur on March 15, 1930 to Albert & Marie (Laabs) Tiegs. He grew up in St. Thomas area and attended Le Sueur Schools. In the fall of 1953 he married Dorothy Langhoff. They farmed in Blakeley Township until 2002 when they retired and moved to Belle Plaine. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and wife. He is survived by his sons, Russell (Mary) Tiegs of Jordan, Donald (Elice) Tiegs of Shakopee, Grandchildren, Mackinzie Tiegs, Olivia Tiegs & Jayden Tiegs. Many nieces and nephews.
