Richard H. Blake

Richard H. Blake, age 76 of LeSueur died on Saturday at Ridgeview Health Care Center, LeSueur.  Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 30, 2019, 11:00 a.m, Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, MN.  Visitation will be the day of the service at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.  Burial to follow at Arlington Public Cemetery.  Lunch at the Arlington Haus in Arlington.

Richard was born on June 22, 1943, in Arlington, MN to Arthur & Ella (Hormann) Blake.  He attended Arlington schools and started working at a very young age.  He hauled milk for a creamery and worked construction with Blacky Schwartz in Arlington at a young age.  Afterwards he did a lot of painting in the Arlington area before he started a long career with Del’s Construction in Le Sueur, MN. He worked for over 30 years with Del’s Construction doing plumbing, concrete work and building.  He enjoyed his time with family and especially the grandchildren.  He also enjoyed an evening out playing Bingo whenever he could.

He is survived by his Best Friend, Donna Vogel of Le Sueur, MN;  Children; Barry (Jeanette) Blake of Gaylord, MN; Sherry Blake of Scottsdale, AZ; Brian (Carol) Blake of Cadillac, MI; Shawn (Debbie) Blake of Belle Plaiine, MN; Justin Blake of Belle Plaine, MN and Darcie (Travis) Brinson, stationed in Moorehead, MN.  10 grandchildren; Makayla Ostermann-Blake, Colleen Baker, Vanessa Longstreet, Joshua Blake, Caitlin Jarman, Allison Blake, Ava Valliant, Avarie Valliant, Colton Brinson and Jessica Vogel.  Two great-grandchildren; Caden Longstreet & Benjamin Baker and nephew, Jeff Blake.  He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; George, Bobby and Dorothy.
