Richard Dale Hallgren

Richard Dale Hallgren, age 83 of Belle Plaine, passed away on March 15, 2016 at his home. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at West Union Lutheran Church. Rev. Richard Braun will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Dale served in the U.S. Army and was a retired dairy farmer at the family Lone Oak Farm in Hancock Township, Carver County for much of his life before moving to Belle Plaine. Preceded in death by wife Kathleen and parents Bernhard and Esther Hallgren. Survived by brother Dr. Roger Hallgren, stepchildren Mary Kay Thompson, Nancy Lund, Charles (Marsha) Redman and Tom (Rita) Redman, 6 grandchildren Katie, Ryan, Cortney, Kyle, Brady, Austin and several nieces and nephews.
