Richard Marvin Venske, age 72, of Glencoe, MN formally of Arlington, MN passed away July 30th, 2026, at Grand Meadows Assisted Living in Glencoe, MN. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. until the service begins. Pastor Matthew Rouh will officiate. Interment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Mayer, MN for the immediate family, following the church luncheon.
Richard was born in Watertown, MN on November 20, 1953, to Marvin and Cordella (Henning) Venske. Richard grew up in Mayer, MN and graduated from Watertown High School. Richard later found the love of his life, Marlane Voight (Bentz) and later married on July 28th,1984 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in New Germany, MN. Richard worked at Nilfisk Advance for 40 years. He also loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, he liked to go to antique shops, collect toy metal tractors and enjoyed woodworking. One of Richard's best qualities was his willingness to help anyone when it was needed.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marlane and stepson Gary Voight. His parents, Marvin and Cordella, brothers, Bruce, Dennis and Doug Venske and his sister-in-law Roberta Venske. Also, many brothers and sisters in-laws on the Bentz family.
Richard is survived by his two loving stepdaughters Susan (Todd) Neumann and Tamara (Chad) Ittel. Grandchildren, Tina (Nick) Schlechter, T.J. Neumann, Mason Ittel and special friend (Kendra Schmidt), Kailee Ittel. Great grandchildren Bentley, Bo, and Beckett Schlechter. Brothers- Roger Venske and Kenny (Ginger) Venske, sisters- Sharon Venske and special friend (Jeff Boehmke), Karen (Don) Kahnau, sister-in-law Marlene Venske and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by the Bentz families.
Richard will be missed dearly and he will live in our hearts forever.
