Robert "Bob" James Kotasek

Robert "Bob" Kotasek, age 67 of Le Sueur, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the MN Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 9 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and will continue Monday morning from 8-10:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Robert was born on July 15, 1946 to Gordon and Helen (Boettcher) Kotasek. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1965. He married Mary Ann Samuelson on May 8, 1967 in St. Peter. He owned and operated Bob Kotasek Sod and Cutting Service since 1967. He was a hardworking loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, attending auctions and especially enjoyed teasing his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; children, Lisa (fiance, Chris Tupa) Battcher of Le Sueur, John (Michelle) Kotasek of Le Sueur, Julie (Patrick) Callahan of Le Center and Paul Kotasek of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Jesse, Kaitlyn and Kylee Battcher, Dustin Daley, Tyler and Jayden Kotasek, Trent Kotasek, Michael (Sarah), Terry, Meghan, Joey and Graeden Callahan; great-granddaughter, Kayla Callahan; mother-in-law, Florence Samuelson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Barb Samuelson, Pat (Suzy) Samuelson, Tim (Karla) Samuelson and Pat Kotasek; aunt and uncle, Kenny and Annette Brenke and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Kotasek.
