Robert Krause, age 94 of LeSueur, Minnesota died on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in LeSueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment, with Military Rites by the LeSueur Honor Guard, will be in the Mound Cemetery, LeSueur, Minnesota. Visitation is on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday at the funeral home until 10:45 a.m. Robert was born on October 9, 1918 in LeSueur, Minnesota to Ernest and Mary (Morgenthaler) Krause. He attended LeSueur Public School and later entered the U. S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theater. He married Kathleen Turensky on July 8, 1948 at St. Anne's Church. After his honorable discharge he returned to LeSueur and worked for the City of LeSueur in the utilities department for nearly 40 years. He retired as LeSueur Volunteer Fireman after 21 years. He enjoyed family vacations and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his son, William (Cheryl) Krause of LeSueur Daughters, Barbara (Joe) Struve of Prescott, WI Bev (Mark) Michael of Cleveland, MN 3 Grandchildren, Chad (Renae) Krause and Tom (Kris) Krause of LeSueur and Holly (Jason) Borgardts of Shakopee 4 Great-grandchildren, Lauren and Maura Krause and Brett and Brooke Borgardts. Sister, Irene Bednar of New Prague. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen in 1997, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
