Robert "Chick" Lunak

November 9, 1939 — April 19, 2011

Robert "Chick" Lunak, age 71, of Kasota, formerly of Chaska, died April 19, 2011 in Florida. Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur. Bob was born on November 9, 1939 to Oldrich and Marcella (Gardner) Lunak in St. Peter, Mn. He grew up in Le Sueur, and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1957. He was in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. He studied engineering at the U of M in Minneapolis. He married Linda Erickson on March 13, 1982 at Little Brown Church in Nashwa, Iowa. He spent most of his life moving houses and demolishing buildings while living in Chaska. He also owned a crane service. He and Linda have been living in Kasota since 2002. Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Cheryl (Lynn) Burmeister of Otter Tail, Mn, Richard Lunak of St. Peter and Ronald Lunak of Savage; 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Nicole, Jade and Landon; sister, Donna Andrews of Lakeville. He is preceded in death by his parents.
