Robert W. Ostermann

Robert W. Ostermann, age 72 of Arlington, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Arlington.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Arlington, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.  Lunch to follow service, burial after lunch at Brown Cemetery, Henderson, MN.

Robert was born on February 9, 1946 in Henderson, MN to Marvin and Phyllis (Skaro) Ostermann.  He attended Henderson Schools at a young age.  He later worked at various jobs; sawmills, farming and later at Cubs Foods.  Bob was a charming, pleasant gentleman always with a bright “Hello” and handshake every morning at High Island Living Facility.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to work and do anything asked of him.  He treated people with respect and always stuck up for those who couldn’t speak for themselves.

Robert enjoyed his time with family, All Star Wrestling, fishing and pets.  He will be missed by his family and residents at High Island Living Facility.

He is survived by his siblings; Lois Lapham of O’Lathe, Kansas; Karen (Jerry) Wallace of Carver, MN; Jim Ostermann of Le Sueur, MN and David (Myrnae) Ostermann of Shakopee, MN.  Many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; niece, Heather Jarvi; nephew, Richard Ostermann and brother-in-law; Kent Lapham.
