Roger Anthony Johnson

Roger A. Johnson, age 60 of Belle Plaine died suddenly at his home Tuesday, March 30, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 1, 2011, 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine with Fr. Michael Kaluza. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Roger was born on April 10, 1950 to Arthur & Alvina (Roelike) Johnson in Melrose, MN. He grew up in Belle Plaine, MN and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1968. Then attended Hennepin County Technical College. He worked as a truck driver for many years and later for AMPI Creamery in New Prague, MN. He enjoyed puzzles, Nascar, Twins baseball, fishing, porch sitting and old cars. He is survived by his children;Anthony "Tony" (Jennifer) Johnson of Belle Plaine, MN; Tina (James) Soller of Belle Plaine, MN; Julie (Kevin) LaTour of Le Sueur, MN and Jacquline (Daniel) Eckblad of St. Peter, MN. Siblings; Arlyce Ruehling of Belle Plaine, MN; Roseanne (Gary) Anderson of Belle Plaine, MN; Doreen (LeRoy) Liebhard of Belle Plaine, MN and Ronald (Diane) Johnson of New Prague, MN. Grandchildren; Rachel, Sarah and Melinda Johnson; Matthew & Courtney Soller; Andrew, Ashley and Allison LaTour; Daniel & Katelyn Eckbald. He is preceded in death by parents.
