Roger F Velishek Jr.

Roger “Rog” Francis Velishek Jr., age 52, from Belle Plaine, MN passed away at home on November 22, 2022. The Memorial Service will be officiated by Rev. Wayne Waibel and held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine, MN.  A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at church.

Roger, born on May 1, 1970, was son to Roger and Randee Velishek in Shakopee, MN. He grew up in his beloved hometown of Belle Plaine, MN and enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, and experiencing the outdoors. Roger loved watching football and rooting for his favorite team, the Vikings. But above all, Roger treasured spending time with his family, always taking the opportunity to visit family and spend time with his loved ones.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Ebel; grandparents, Walter “Wally” and Lorraine Schleicher, Harold and Doris Wiese; and great-grandparents, John “Jack” and Genevieve “Gammy” Sarazin.

He is survived by his parents, Roger and Randee Velishek, and biological mother, Shirley Thysell; his sons Austin (Gracie) Velishek and Spenser Ebel-Velishek; step-daughter Hailey (Rick) and grandchildren Finnley, Antony, and Jamison; Austin’s mother, Stephanie Summers; siblings Justine Anderson, Walter (Sophie) Velishek, Aaron Thysell, Robert Velishek (Tracy), Janeen (Jay) Zimmerman, and many beloved nieces and nephews, along with his in-laws Jim and Peg Ebel.
