Ron Anderson

Ronald (Ron) Anderson, age 80 of Belle Plaine and formerly of Mankato, passed away on December 7, 2017 at the Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter. Memorial service will be at 11am on Tuesday, December 12th at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Rev. Ed Fredrich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Ron was born April 21, 1937 to Andrew and Florence (Peterson) Anderson in North Mankato, MN. Ron married Trudi (Poehler) Anderson on September 3, 1959 in Courtland, MN and worked many years at Crown, Cork, & Seal (formerly Continental Can) in Mankato, MN. They lived in rural Mankato, MN before moving to Belle Plaine, MN. Ron enjoyed the outdoor life spending time camping, fishing, hunting, and riding horses. He is survived by his children Mike Anderson (Mary Blumhoefer) of Waterville, Tracy Anderson (Tim Karels) of Belle Plaine, Grandchildren, Tanner Anderson, Samantha (Nelson) Estrada, Nick & Nia Arguedas He had several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his spouse Trudi (Poehler) Anderson; his parents, Andrew & Florence; sister, Gwen (Anderson) Williams & Tom Williams The family would like to thank all the kind and compassionate caregivers of the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter, MN.
