Ron Harms

Ronald Edwin Harms (Ron/Ronnie), age 69, of Lakeville, MN, (formerly of Belle Plaine) passed away peacefully at Hennepin Healthcare/HCMC and entered his Heavenly home, on January 14, 2022.

Ron was born to Edwin and Laverne (Henschell) Harms in St. Paul, MN, on June 27, 1952, was baptized on July 20, 1952, at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Paul, attended Trinity Lutheran School in Belle Plaine, and was confirmed on March 19, 1967, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Ron graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1971. Ron served several years in the Army Reserves, then immediately sought out to see the country. He had various jobs throughout his years, yet always maintained his free spirit.

It goes without saying Ron will be missed, but his family is at peace knowing he was loved completely, and that he loved them equally as much; but most importantly, he retained his profession of faith, despite the trials and tribulations of this worldly life.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin, and Laverne Harms. As the oldest and only son of Edwin and Laverne, Ron is survived by his five sisters and their spouses, Roxanne and Mike Pieper of Carver, Debbie and Bob Maresch of Carver, Nadine and Denis Callahan of Belle Plaine, Denise and Ed Halloran of Le Center; and Dawn and Tom Callahan of St. Thomas, as well as nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A private funeral service will be held at Kolden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Martin Bentz of Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Ron will be laid to rest beside his parents at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
