Ronald Michael Ruhland passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 87. A retired farmer, Ronald lived a long and fulfilling life, devoted to the land he called home since childhood. As a meticulous steward of his farm, he maintained a neat and orderly property that reflected his dedication and pride. Ronald also served honorably in the United States Army Reserves, exemplifying his commitment to service and country.

Throughout his life, Ronald experienced the joys and sorrows that define a life well lived. He endured the loss of his parents, Math and Albina (Svoboda), six siblings, and countless relatives and friends, but he found strength in his faith and family.

A man of deep Catholic faith, Ronald found comfort in his relationship with God, the rhythms of old-time music, and the support of his community. When he married Carol Dvorak, he embraced an instant family, becoming a loving father to Michele, Lisa, Mark, and Samara. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ronald was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, whose presence brought him immense joy and pride.

Known for his profound sense of humor, honesty, and cheerful outlook, Ronald’s goodness and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His radiant smile and steady demeanor were matched only by his tireless work ethic and enduring loyalty. Ronald cherished lifelong friendships, especially with his best friend, John Vanasek, and Sherry, and valued the strong connections he maintained with neighbors and loved ones. In his later years, when work was no longer possible, Ronald continued to give and receive love, inspiring all with his grace and humility.

We honor this strong, quiet, loyal, and loving man whose life was a testament to hard work, faith, and the power of family. His work on Earth is complete, and we are forever grateful for the warmth, wisdom, and love he shared during his precious time with us. Ronald will remain forever in our hearts.

Survived by his loving wife, Carol; children Michele, Lisa, Mark, and Samara; sister Ramona; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his dear friends, John Vanasek and Sherry.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to Allina Health Hospice for their compassionate care in Ronald’s final days and to his kind neighbors and friends for their unwavering support. We are truly blessed.

God bless you, Ronald. Always.
