Rose Marie Busse

Rose Marie Busse, 86, of Henderson, MN passed away on Saturday September 19, 2015 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home with her family at her side. She was excited to go "Home" to be with God and family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at St Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson, MN at 11:00am. Visitation will be 10:00am prior to the service. A luncheon will follow. There will be a private family burial. Family would prefer memorials in lieu of flowers. Rose Marie was born to Fred and Rose (Reddemann) Reinhardt on October 11, 1928 in Sibley County. She was raised in rural Henderson, was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Church. Upon graduation from Henderson High School in 1945, she attended a special teacher education program formed after World War II. This program equipped teachers in a condensed period of time to fill the shortage of teachers. She did so for a few years until placing a priority on raising a family. On June 12, 1947 she married Willard Busse of Henderson. Together they made their home, both in Henderson and Belle Plaine. They had 3 children. Throughout her life she actively attended St. Paul's Church. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher and member of the Women's Assn. Rose Marie acted as the bookkeeper for Busse Construction for many years. She enjoyed raising her family, reading, quilting, and crocheting. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and made a quilt and an afghan for each of them. Rose Marie is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Ed) Carney of Eden Prairie and son, John (Maureen) Busse of Belle Plaine. She has 4 grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Lunde, David (Karen) Carney, Laura (Todor) Ivanova and Peter Busse. In addition there are 8 great grandchildren: Claire, Zachary, Nathan, and Luke Lunde; and Aiden, Andrew, Benjamin and Ellie Carney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard and daughter, Dianne, as well as her parents and brothers, Arthur, Gail and Leslie Reinhardt.
