Ruth Ann Almich

Ruth Ann Almich, age 78 of Le Sueur, died on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Le Sueur Assisted Living in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church. Interment will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur. Rev. Jean Sidner will officiate the services. Lunch in church social hall following services at the cemetery. She was born on July 17, 1935 to Clarence and Elsie (Maertz) Almich in Tyrone Township. She grew up on the family farm five miles east of Le Sueur. She was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Evangelical Reformed Church. She graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1953. She started her banking career at the Le Sueur State Bank in 1953. She then moved to Highland Park in St. Paul in 1959 and was employed by Highland Park State Bank until her retirement. She moved to Le Sueur in 2007 to be closer to family. Ruth loved to travel and took many trips during her lifetime. She is survived by her brother, Walter (LaVonne) Almich of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Bev Almich of Le Sueur; special cousins, Bette & Janet Vogler of Bloomington, MN and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Almich; Sister, Marion Almich and parents.
