Ruth M. Bratsch

Ruth Bratsch, age 103 of Le Sueur, died on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Gardenview Nursing Home in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be at the church the morning of the Mass from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate the Mass. Memorials may be given to Patrons of St. Anne's Endowment. She was born on May 17, 1907 to John and Helena (Doktor) Krosche in Le Sueur. She attended rural schools and graduated from St. Anne's High School and attended St. Anne's Commercial College. She married Emil H. Bratsch on Nov. 26, 1928 at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. They farmed near Henderson, near Norseland and later moved to Le Sueur. Ruth worked as a phone operator for a while before working in the Advertising Dept. for Green Giant in Le Sueur. Ruth was a parishioner of St. Anne's Church all of her life and was a part of the Ladies Aid (C.C.W.). She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her children: Mary Foley of Le Sueur, MN; Jim (Kay) Bratsch of Lakeville, MN; Nancy (Bill) Hix of Montgomery, MN; Ray (Monica) Bratsch of Tryon, NC; Carol (Vern) Bombardier of E. Gull Lake, MN; Sisters: Dorothy Bones and Irene Krosche of Le Sueur; 20 Grandchildren: Jenny Bratsch (Jan) Poehland, Katie (Brian) Bratsch Kruse, Mike Bratsch, Megan Bratsch, Colleen Hix (Jon) Whincentsen, Marty (Del) Hix, Tim (Janice) Hix, Peggy Kriha (Matt) Dye, Kelly Kriha (P.J.) Smith, Denise Kriha (Steve) Goedker, Mary Bratsch, Sarah Bratsch (Charlie) Miller, Laura Bratsch (Michael) Kruse, Sue Bratsch (Alan) Salzwedel, Kathy Bratsch (Trap) Hayenga, John (Dawn) Bratsch-Prince, Steve (Laura) Bratsch, Jeanne (Katherine) Foley, Patti Foley (Perry) Good, and Terri Foley; 37 Great-Grandchildren: Jason (Lindsay) Good, Jamie Good (Matt) Engelmann, Luca and Liam Poehland, A.
