Ruth L. Schilling

Ruth L. Schilling, age 81, of Arlington, died Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, September 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington, with Father Jerry Berger officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Ruth was born on September 23, 1930 to Chester and Florence (Morgan) Chamberlain in Le Sueur, Minnesota. She was a 1948 graduate of Le Sueur High School, and after her graduation worked for the telephone company in Le Sueur. On June 17, 1950, Ruth was united in marriage to Edward Schilling at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. After her marriage she was a homemaker, and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #408 of Green Isle. Most of all she enjoyed the visits of her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her sons Michael (Starla) Schilling of Arlington, Peter (Mavis) Schilling of Gaylord, and David (Melissa) Schilling of Rochester, grandchildren, Jessica Youngman, Gwen (Matt) Scharpe, Mark (Brittney) Schilling, Kyle Schilling, Christopher and Nicholas Gardner, Jonathon Schilling,Mary Schilling, Alex, Megan and Trevor Borwege, and three great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, daughter Rebecca Baumann, and siblings Helen, Clifford, Clayton, Gladys and Betty. Interment will be at the Arlington Public Cemetery.
