Sandra Jean Peterson

Sandra Jean Peterson, age 78 of Le Sueur, formerly of Kingsburg, California, died at Comfort First in Le Sueur on Thursday evening, April 21, 2022.  Memorial services will be on Friday, May 13, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. ~ 4:00 p.m.

Sandra was born on August 20, 1943 to Oscar and Mary (Peterson) Hammerstine in Kingsburg, CA.  She grew up in Kingsburg and graduated from Kingsburg High School.  She married Randy Peterson and the couple moved to Los Angeles shortly after they were married.  She worked as a hairdresser for many years and owned a beauty salon in Los Angeles.  She later went to the Police Academy and was a Los Angeles Police officer for several years.  She left the Los Angeles Police Department and moved back to Kingsburg to pursue her passion with Belgium horses and started a carriage business with her husband.  She also enjoyed gardening, crouching and crafts.  Following Randy’s death and her failing health she relocated to Le Sueur, MN to be closer to her daughter, Sandra Fiedler.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Joe) Fiedler of Claremont, MN, son; Bill Barstow of Modesto, CA and many grandchildren and great-grandson.  Sisters; Tammy and Connie

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy and son, Patrick.
