Scott R. Schoknecht

Scott R. Schoknecht, age 45 of Belle Plaine, died suddenly on Sunday evening, July 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee. Funeral service will be on Friday, July 28, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church, Belle Plaine. Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. and on Friday morning at the church 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Belle Plaine, MN. Lunch to follow in the church basement. Scott was born on August 24, 1971 to Gerald & Mary Jane (Neisen) Schoknecht in New Prague, MN. He grew up in Belle Plaine, MN and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1989. Following high school, Scott drove truck for a while and worked at Block and Tile before working as a machinist at Kyes Automatic in Belle Plaine and at Pinnacle Tools for the last 11 years. Scott was also a partner in S & S Machine in Belle Plaine, MN. Scott always had a love for racing, cars and was always eager to help with any car challenges. Scott is survived by his wife, Jody; Parents, Gerald "Butch" & Mary Jane "Janey" Schoknecht; Siblings, Lynn Brown of Belle Plaine, MN, Lisa Schoknecht and her fiancé, Hilly Timmers of Cologne; Steve Schoknecht and his special friend Jen Winter of Belle Plaine, MN, Melaine Hinderscheid of Northfield, MN; Grandmother, Betty Neisen of Belle Plaine, MN, Mother-in-law, Ann Revord of Belle Plaine and Brotherin-law, Donald Revord of Belle Plaine, MN and Godson, Ryan Neisen. Nieces & nephews; Madison, Cody, Alex, Alysa and Megan, cousins aunts, uncles and friends.
