Shane Richard Mccormick

Shane Richard McCormick, age 27 of Green Isle passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24th at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Green Isle. A time for family and friends to gather will take place between 9:00 a.m. and mass time on Friday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is assisting the family with arrangements. Shane was born on October 7, 1988 in Waconia to Richard and Nancy (Brazil) McCormick. He was a 2007 graduate of Sibley-East High School and was looking forward to furthering his education this winter at Lake Superior Technical College. Shane was currently employed at Mount Olivet- Rolling Acres in Victoria as well as at the Clare House in Minneapolis. He is survived by his parents Richard and Nancy McCormick of Green Isle, sisters Kelly McCormick of Portland, OR, Michelle McCormick of LeSueur and Kimberly Holmquist of Gibbon, nieces and nephews Brianna and Carter Holmquist and Lexie and Tucker Adams, his dog Gus, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents Irving and Marie Brazil, Edward and Alice McCormick and nephew JR Holmquist.
