Sharon Klug, age 73, of Arlington, passed away on July 1, 2011, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at St John's Lutheran Church in Arlington Township, with a gathering of friends and family one hour prior to service time at the church. Reverend William Postal will be officiating. A picnic celebration will follow the service. Sharon Klug was born on August 10, 1937, in Omaha Nebraska, to Arthur and Lucille (Neely) Starr Sr. She attended school in Milwaukee, and furthered her education, receiving her nurses assistant Certificate. On May 11, 1957, Sharon was united in marriage to Phillip Klug, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They spent their 54 loving years together holding hands in Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota. Sharon was very active as a Cub Scout den mother, member of LWML and the Red Cross, also volunteering for Meals on Wheels, the Senior Center, and the local Hospice program. She was a foster parent to many, and also assisted Hmong refugees in their transition to a new country. Sharon loved embroidering, crocheting, and cooking. She was a lifelong Packers fan, whose favorite memory was running into Bart Starr. Sharon is survived by her blue-eyed honey, husband Phillip, son David (Cheri) Klug, of Sun City AZ, daughters Linda (Wayne) Braun of Flower Mound TX, Kari (Dean) Hardel of LeSueur MN, and adopted daughter Jeanne Vaughn of Washington State. She is also survived by grandchildren Benjamin, (Anna), Jonathan, Bethany, Dakota and Steven, great-granddaughter Kyah, brother Roy Starr of Milwaukee WI, sister Sandie (Harold) Gilford of Kewaskum WI, and "son" Kong (Yee) Xiong of Afton MN. Sharon is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Arthur Starr Jr.
