Shirley A. Frauendienst

Shirley A. Frauendienst, age 82 of Le Sueur, died on Saturday morning, May 25, at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems, (I.S.J.) in Mankato. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m, at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 29, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday morning. Rev. David Aaker will officiate the services. Shirley was born on May 3, 1931 to Hilda Nenn in Minneapolis, MN. She attended Lutheran Parochial Schools in Brownton. She married Marlin Frauendienst on June 6, 1949. Aside from being a homemaker and wonderful mother, she worked as a cook at Minnesota Valley Health Care Facility in Le Sueur from 1970 - 2006. She enjoyed her time preparing meals for the patients and residents. Shirley is survived by her children;Chuck (Judy) Frauendienst of Le Sueur, MN Barbara "Bobbie" Rasmussen of Belle Plaine, MN Tom (Diane) Frauendienst of Henderson, MN 8 Grandchildren; Jamie (Jessica) Bratsch; Michelle Bratsch & special friend, Roger May; Andy Bratsch & his fiance' Lupita Marcado; Tim Bratsch; Sam Rasmussen; Sadie Frauendienst; Zeb Frauendienst & his special friend, Katie Bryant & Luke Frauendienst. 8 Great-Grandchildren. Special thanks to her home care giver, Meg Paulson for her care and love. She is preceded in death by her mother, Hilda Nenn in 2001.
