Stanley Jensen

Stanley Otis Jensen, age 92 of Belle Plaine and formerly of Shakopee, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Memorial Service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 17 at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Fish Lake, Rev. Brent Parrish will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday morning. Interment will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Stan was born in Blooming Prairie on January 18, 1923 to Alfred and Vera (Robinson) Jensen. He was baptized in June 20, 1923 and confirmed on June 15, 1951. He married Gretchen Oestreich on July 21, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran in Waseca. Stan was a WWII Veteran and also served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He worked for many years as an airline mechanic and crew chief for Northwest Airlines. Stan had his private pilot license and was proud to be an aviator. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood carving until he lost partial vision. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Marv & Randy and grandson, Ian Talty. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen, Children, Kathleen Jensen of Omaha, NE, Christine (William) Talty of Minneapolis, MN, Martin (Amy) Jensen of Chanhassen, MN, David (Shari) Jensen of Princeton, MN Grandchildren, Sara, Stephanie, Jaclyn, Alanna, & Mark Great Grandchildren, Julia & Daniel Pelach Sister, Marilyn Kohl of Milwaukee, WI
