Sue Ann Wilson

Sue Ann Wilson, age 88 of Le Sueur, died peacefully at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur, MN.   Funeral services will be on Friday, August 26, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation will be at the church 1 hour prior to the services.  Burial to follow at Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN.  Lunch to follow in church social hall.

Sue was born on May 21, 1934 in Libertyville, Iowa to Merle and Amy (Cooksey) Dougherty.  She graduated from Libertyville, Iowa High School and later attended and graduated from the University of Iowa, where she met the love of her life, Gerald.   She graduated from the University of Iowa with a nursing degree. The couple relocated to Minnesota and resided in Le Sueur with their children. Sue enjoyed her 55 year career as a nurse.  She was also very active with the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur.  She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, baking and enjoyed her role as Mrs. Claus during Christmas Tree sales at the farm.

Sue is survived by her children, Scott  Wilson of Le Sueur, Todd Wilson of La Crescent, MN, Amy (Tim) Lindgren of Dent, MN, and Jill (Tom) Miller of Mankato; grandchildren, Ben (Angie) Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Chelsie (Brandon) Seth, Abbie (Ryan) Burns, Luke Wilson, Chelsea (Austin) Reinhart, Drake Wilson, Tristan Wilson, Kylie Wilson, Jasmine (Joe) Koncur, Ian Lindgren, Sam (Fiancé Katie) Lindgren, Cassidy (Adam) Orlando, and Riley Miller; great-grandchildren, Brittany (Rebecca) Anderson, Ashley Beseke, Colton and Dalton Wilson, Charlie and Emma Koncur, Jane Mary, Jack and John Seth, Loretta Burns, and Ashton and August Reinhart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald; sisters, Rose Hansen and Irene Gire and daughter-in-law, Mary Wilson.
