Tamera Lee Prestin

Tamera Lee Prestin, age 59, of Belle Plaine passed away due to complications from Multiple Scleroses on May 13, 2023. Services will be updated as soon as available.

Tamera was born on January 29, 1964 to Larry and Janet (Updike) Werner in Lakefield, MN. She graduated from Lakefield High School in 1982 and continued her education at Mankato State University from 1984-1988, she graduated from Mankato State University, Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology. She married Jon Prestin in May of 1990. They later divorced but remained close friends. She worked for the State of Minnesota Correction in various facilities. Due to her M.S., she was forced to retire in 2006.

She loved dogs, old cars, watching drag racing and growing hostas. Tamera made many dear friends wherever she was and will be missed by so many.

Tamera is survived by many friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, LaVerne and Lester Werner, with whom she was very close.
