Ted Klehr

Theodore "Ted" Leo Klehr, age 77 of Shakopee, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was cared for by a wonderful staff at Methodist Hospital and the loving hospice staff at St. Gertrude's in Shakopee. Memorial Mass will be at 11a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Brian Lynch will officiate. Visitation will precede the Memorial Mass from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. at church on Wednesday morning and a luncheon will follow. Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Ted was born in Shakopee on March 31, 1941, to Theodore and Loretta (Breeggemann) Klehr. He grew up in the Shakopee and Belle Plaine communities and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. By trade, Ted was a Machinist and worked for Rahr Malting in Shakopee for almost 20 years. He was an avid reader, loved to be in nature and enjoyed golfing, traveling, dancing and listening to all kinds of music. He spent many winters in Arizona visiting his daughter Cathy. Ted is preceded in death by an infant son and his parents, Theodore Klehr and Loretta Solheid. Ted is survived by his children, Jackie (Rafiq) Klehr-Antar of Edina, David (Barbara) Klehr of Shakopee, Catherine Klehr of Mesa, Arizona, Nicholas (Lisa) Klehr of Bloomington, Sara Biorn of Rochester, 5 Grandchildren, Brothers & Sisters, Rosie Klehr, Richard Solheid, Lee Solheid, Liz Baird & Jim Solheid and Many nieces & nephews.
