Terry Mark Neal

Terry Mark Neal, of Le Sueur, died at Mayo Hospital in Mankato on June 13, 2025, after battling lifelong respiratory illness. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, with visitation from 9:30 to 11 am, memorial service at 11 am, and luncheon to follow.

Terry was born on June 29, 1953, the final and by his measure, best child of Orville & Hazel (Krienke) Neal. The Neals relocated between Minnesota, Montana, and Washington, but landed in Spokane long enough for Terry to graduate from East Valley High School in 1971, with family dog Clyde the school mascot. Terry then returned to Minnesota, where he fortuitously met Rosalind Bergslien. They married October 26, 1974, and made a life together. Terry worked in injection molding plastics, and after several foreman roles, retired from Nordic Ware in 2017.

In Le Sueur, Terry & Roz raised three brown-eyed girls, and taught them to love road trips, Coca-Cola, card games, and James Taylor. Terry was a voracious reader, had a deep well of trivia knowledge, and could finish sudoku and jigsaw puzzles swiftly. Terry loved fast cars, especially Corvettes. His penchant for singing a relevant song lyric at just the right time, picking out the most ridiculous punny t-shirt, and his abundance of dad jokes were both groan-worthy and endearing. His deep laugh will stay with us.

Terry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roz, his daughters and their husbands: Ashley (John) Hank of Le Sueur, Melanie (David) Wimmer of Black Diamond, WA, and Alison (Peter) Glowacki of La Crosse, WI; grandchildren: Mandy (Luke) Smith of Carver, Connor Hank, Eleanora & Neal Wimmer, Hazel & Eva Glowacki; great-grandchildren: Finn, Ruth, & Harvey Smith; sister Barb Hanson of Spokane, WA, brother Rick (Joan) Neal of Spokane, WA; mother-in-law Shirley Bergslien of Excelsior, siblings-in-law Rick Bergslien, Kris Krattley, Katrin Betker, Myron (Trish) Bergslien, and Martha (Bill) Strohm, numerous cousins, nieces & nephews, and a daughter he met later in life, Shelley (Kevin) Barbee, of Lewiston, ID.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Bruce Neal, father-in-law Ed Bergslien, brothers-in-law Eddie Bergslien and Alan Krattley, and granddaughter Katelyn Hank.
