Theodore "Ted" Reiling

Theodore "Ted" P. Reiling, age 86 of LeSueur died on September 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur at 11 a.m.. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary starting at 9:45 a.m. and a visitation time continuing one hour prior to the mass. Interment, at a later date, will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Memorials may be given to Our Lady of Peace Hospice at 2076 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, MN 55104 or to St. Anne's Church. He was born on November 16, 1929 in St. Paul to Paul and Lillian (Zarembinski) Reiling. He graduated from Cretin High School in 1947, St. Thomas College, received a Master's Degree from Iowa State and a PhD from the University of Minnesota. Ted married Lois Marie Ehlenz on January 5, 1957 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Paul. In 1956 he began a long career with the Green Giant Company in Dayton Washington. They moved to LeSueur in 1970. He was a plant pathologist and developed peas and beans for the company. Ted retired in 1992. He was a very active member of the St. Anne's Church in LeSueur serving as an original Eucharistic Communion Minister, taught CCD, church council and active in the Knights of Columbus. His faith defined how he lived his life. He enjoyed gardening and golfing for many years in LeSueur and Ft. Myers, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Lois Children, Terese (John) Holden of Edina, Robert (Renée) Reiling of Niles, IL and Cristine (Donnie Jones) Reiling of Minneapolis Grandchildren, Jack Holden, Lily Holden, Barrett Jones Reiling Siblings, Paul (Lois) Reiling of Tuscon, Az and Patricia Ratelle of Grand Marais and Richfield. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Foley.
