Thomas B. Boelter

Thomas Benjamin Boelter, age 72 of Le Sueur passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 23, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 1, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, MN from 4-7 p.m. and Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Henderson, MN. Following the burial dinner will be provided at St. Anne's school in Le Sueur, MN.

Tom was born on September 16, 1951 in Arlington, MN to Everett and Mary Alice (Hoffman) Boelter. He grew up on his family farm in Henderson and graduated from Henderson High School in 1969. He received his certificate in engineering and briefly worked for Paape Distribution in Mankato, MN. Following this, he started his career of over 20 years at N.S.P (later known as Excel Energy) as a Grade A Chief Engineer. After a decade of retirement he worked part/full time at Lakeside Foods. He enjoyed traveling to the Philippines where he met and married his wife Carmen Santander on July 22, 1996.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Some of his other hobbies included creating art out of different materials including pottery, glass, and metal.

Some of the things he created was lamps, crosses, bowls, vases, urns, and knife/ scissors sharpening machines.

Tom is survived by his wife, Carmen, children, Tammy Romer of Bruce, WI; Ben Boelter of New Auburn, MN;  Christie (William Hopp) Boelter of Monticello, MN;  Roger (Jowen Sullano) Boelter of Becker, MN; Frank “J.P.” Boelter of Cosmos, MN; Vincent Boelter of Plymouth, MN;  Rachelle (Ryan Ondler) Boelter of Falcon Heights, MN; and Goddaughter Monica Baker of Sebeka, MN; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Russ (Mary) Boelter of Henderson, MN; Kathy (Jim) Wilhelmi of Verndale, MN; Deb (Tom) Conroy of Farmington, MN; Gordy (Laura) Boelter of Henderson, MN; Tim (Mary Jo) Boelter of Green Isle, MN; Marilyn (Marty) Brazil of Litchfield, MN; Diane (Doug) Tousley of Henderson, MN; and Curt (Cindy) Boelter of Henderson, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
