Thomas Leo Fahey

New Prague

Thomas L. Fahey, age 50 of rural New Prague, died at Methodist Hospital in Rochester on Friday, December 23, 2022 after a very short illness.  Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill.  Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. and will continue the morning of the Mass at the Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. ~ 10:30 a.m.  We will then leave Belle Plaine in procession for the 11:00 a.m. Mass in Union Hill.  Burial will be at a later time.  Lunch to follow Mass at the New Prague Knights of Columbus Hall.

Thomas was born on February 27, 1972 to Terrance “Terry” & Mary (Pint) Fahey in New Prague, MN.  He attended and graduated from New Prague schools in 1990.  He married Jennifer “Jenny” Savage on May 21, 1999 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill.  He lived on the family farm his entire life.  He began his working years on the family farm with Fahey Sales and Auctions and also milked cows for nearby farms.  He later drove truck for Jim Glisczinski before he started his own trucking business and continued to farm the family farm and helped with other family farms.  Tom enjoyed traveling to various farm, cattle and tractor shows and tractor pulling competitions. He enjoyed his time on the farm with family and friends and time with his grandson and kids sharing his farming experiences.

Tom is survived by his wife Jenny; Sons; Patrick (Emily) Fahey of Belle Plaine and their son Dutton, Tate Fahey of New Prague and William “Willy” Fahey of New Prague.  Parents, Terry and Mary Fahey of New Prague.  Siblings; Terry (Jodi) Fahey of New Prague, Amy (Steve) Glisczinski of Belle Plaine, Katie (Mike) Pexa of New Prague and Becky (Jesse) Wilson of New Prague.  Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Many relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Parents in-Law; Pat and Rita Savage.
