Timothy G. Burns

Timothy G. Burns, of Le Sueur, passed away December 16, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, December 21, 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, St. Thomas, MN, Fr. Andrew Stueve officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Following Mass, burial will take place in St. Anne's Catholic Church Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the Caribou Gun Club, (30649 380th St, Le Sueur, MN), where a celebration of Tim's life will continue with a social, refreshments and lunch from 1:00 p.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. Tim was born May 17, 1958, to Timothy J. and Rosemary (Odenthal) Burns. He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1976. On December 10, 1982 he married Michelle Straub at St. Anne's Church. He lived in Le Sueur his entire life, working in construction and farming. Tim adored his grandchildren and all the mischief they got into. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and the peace and quiet at his cabin. He was never caught without a bucket of minnows for crappie fishing. He will be remembered for his bright, blue eyes, his charming personality, sense of humor and his passionate spirit. Tim is survived by his mother, Rosemary Burns; his wife, Michelle; son, Ryan Burns and special friend, Abbie Wilson; daughter, Jessica and her husband Douglas Schmitz, three grandchildren, Finley, Tessa, and Kellen; three brothers, Ronald and his wife Carolyn Burns of Le Sueur, Patrick and his wife Kay Burns of St. Peter and Daniel and his wife Lisa Burns of Le Sueur and four sisters; Betty and her husband Bruce Olson of Le Sueur, Martha and her husband John May of Le Sueur, Carolyn and her husband Dan McQueen of Pequot Lakes, and Jeanne and her husband Steve Schwartz of Des Moines, IA. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Timothy J. Burns and his twin sister, Teri.
