Thomas Franklin Haraldson, 92 of Le Sueur, died Wednesday, 2016 at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Kolden Funeral Home-LeSueur and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors will be at Mound Cemetery. Tom was born July 7, 1924 to Frank O. and Irene (Skipton) Haraldson on a farm near Kasota, MN and they soon moved to Mankato where he attended school. He served in the Army from 1944-1946. Tom loved spending his summers and weekends on his Uncle Will Miller's farm near Kasota. On February 11th, 1950, he married Joyce Ann "Pat" Peterson; daughter of Carl and Amanda (Pitmon) Peterson from Kasota.. Together they made their home in Le Sueur and raised two daughters. Upon his return from the Army, he worked on his Uncle's farm then for Kenny Sunderman in Le Sueur, the Farmers Elevator, Le Sueur Foundry, and the Green Giant Can Plant. He returned to the Elevator where he remained for a total of 30 years including 15 years as the manager. He retired at age 63. He was a member of the American Legion for sixty years. Tom lived life to the fullest, loved his family, enjoyed his friends, and cherished his memories of earlier times and time spent "on the road." He was a man with "giddy-up go" whose life was a great ride! Tom is survived by his daughters, Shirley (Chuck) Sigler of Hager City, WI and Carolyn (Ben) Christopherson of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Jeff Sigler (Jodi Jones) of Red Wing, Jodi (Tim) Heth of Muscatine, IA; five great grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Isaac, Nadia, and Ethan; brother-in-law Robert (Donna) Peterson, and four nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother-in-law; and sisters, Alice and Azalia.
