Travis S. Muchow

Travis Scott Muchow, age 42 of Le Sueur, Minnesota died on November 24, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on November 9, 1978 in Sioux Falls, S.D. to W. Thomas Muchow and Mary B. (Brown) Muchow.  He graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Kilian Community College and Alexandria Technical College receiving an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement. Travis lived in Sioux Falls prior to meeting and marrying Monica King at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls, Minnesota on September 13, 2003.  He was hired as a police officer for the Le Sueur Police Department in 2004 and retired for medical reasons in March of 2020.  He enjoyed motorcycling, barbecuing, off-roading, movies, shooting, and time spent with family.

Travis was so proud to serve the citizens of Le Sueur and Cleveland as a Police Officer.  He was known as a fair and trustworthy officer.

Travis and Monica’s proudest moment was the adoption of their son Brayden.  Travis loved to watch Brayden as he learned new things and was so proud of his resilience.

He is survived by his wife, Monica; son, Brayden; Parents, W. Thomas and Mary Muchow; Siblings, Shawn Muchow, Shannon Oddy, Kyle (Stephanie) Muchow all of Sioux Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2p.m.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday and from Noon until 1:45 on Saturday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.
