Trevor Farnsworth

Trevor William Farnsworth, age 47, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 19th, 2024.

Trevor was born in Austin, MN on April 25th, 1977 to Darwin and Wendy (Peterson) Farnsworth. He grew up in Austin and Montrose, MN. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1996.

Trevor took great pride in being an ironworker and would often point out structures he helped construct. He met the love of his life, Katie (Arndt) at the MN State Fair and they later married on October 1st, 2005. Trevor began working in real estate appraisals that eventually took them to Las Vegas, Nevada. There, they had their miracle baby, Trystan John in 2012. Shortly after, they returned to Minnesota to be closer to family and resided in Belle Plaine.

Trystan was Trevor’s greatest pride and joy. Trevor enjoyed watching Trystan’s basketball and football games. They enjoyed watching football together. Trevor was an avid Viking’s fan and Trystan is a Packer’s fan. Trevor loved him so much that he would support Trystan’s love of the Viking’s rival and watch the Packers game together with smack talk between the two of them. Some of the family’s favorite memories were while traveling to Disney World, camping trips to Lake Superior, and most recently South Dakota. If you took one look at Trevor you could guess his passion, going to the gym and working out.  He enjoyed not only the fitness portion of the gym but also the friendships made.  Trevor was affectionately known as a giant teddy bear, a gentle soul with a heart full of love and appreciation.

Trevor is survived by his wife Katie of Belle Plaine and their son, Trystan, parents Darwin and Wendy of Montrose, brothers Trent of Albertville and Tony (Kristen) of Albertville, Mother in-law Patrica (Erwin) Amy, Father in-law Leroy (Sandy) Arndt, Sisters in laws Amy (Michael) Klemm, Nicky (Jim) Vilter, Kristy (Jim) LeBrun, Lesa (Dennis) Delcoure, Brother in-laws David (Randi) Arndt, Brandon (Kimberly) Amy, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends and neighbors.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM on Monday, December 30th 2024 at Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Lunch and Fellowship will follow the service at Belle Plaine Vets Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred that will go towards Trystan’s education.
