Troy Jones

Troy Jones, age 58, of rural New Prague died unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur on Monday, October 6, from 4-7pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11am-12pm. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at noon at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, MN. Lunch to follow the service at Zion United Church of Christ Church Social Hall in Le Sueur, MN. Troy was born on May 10, 1967, in Le Sueur, MN to Lucy (Brenke) and Norm Jones. He grew up in Le Sueur, MN and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1985. He worked at Le Sueur Incorporated and later as a supervisor in the plastics division at Entegris in Chaska, MN. He later moved to Wisconsin and married Jenny Bell in Richland Center, WI on June 20, 1998. They later divorced. Troy moved back to Le Sueur in 2010 where he lived in rural New Prague, MN. He enjoyed talking on the phone, playing pool, fishing, hunting, cards, hockey, and snowmobiling. Troy was a true outdoorsman, enjoyed sci-fi movies and crime shows, an animal whisperer turned farmer, and loved his dogs. Troy was a kind and helpful man. His work ethic, fiery personality, and quick wit were known by many. He is survived by his daughters, Jordyn (Matthew) Melvin of Reedsburg, WI and Taylor Jones of Madison, WI. Mother, Lucy Tupy of Le Sueur, MN and father, Norm (Laura) Jones of Kasson, MN. Grandchildren, Landyn, Letti, Brooks, and Hazel. Siblings, Joel (Julie) Jones of Le Sueur, MN, Tammy (Jason) Borchardt of Le Sueur, MN and Nick (Chas) Jones of Le Sueur, MN. Nieces and nephews Alex (Maddy), Mitchell, Samantha, Makenna, Hunter, Brianna, and Gavin. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ted and Mary Brenke, Wilbur and Ruth Jones and stepfather Richard Tupy.
