Valerie Ann Wiest

Valerie Ann Posner-Wiest, age 51, died after battling an aggressive cancer at her home surrounded by loved ones on October 22, 2019.

She was born October 19, 1968 in Culver City, California where she graduated high school and later attended Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts. She moved to Minnesota in the early 90’s where she dedicated her life to Christ and later met her husband Lyle and married December 12th, 2009.

Valerie was committed to teaching her children as a stay-at-home mother. Her joys included traveling and stopping at every historical site we saw, enjoying all God’s creations, from the sandy beaches of California to the sunsets over the lakes of Minnesota.

Her strongest gifts encompassed her loyalty to the relationships she made and the friendships she maintained over the years. She loved sharing her love for Jesus, praying and bringing others to Christ with no hesitation.

Valerie and her husband Lyle raised their seven children Grant, Kyle (Whitney), Courtney, Matthew, Gabrielle, Luke, and Jonathan Wiest.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; William and Charles Wiest.  Siblings, Cheryl (Greg) Baumeister  of Corona, CA, Troy Posner of St. Peter, MN.  She is also survived by her father, Waldo Posner of Corona, CA.  She is preceded in death by her Mother, Mavis.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Word of Life Lutheran Church, Le Sueur, Minnesota.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.    koldenfuneralhome.com
