Vera Hormann

Vera Hormann, age 99 of Belle Plaine, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Meeker Manor in Litchfield. Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Diane Goulson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at church on Friday morning. Interment will be the in the Episcopal Transfiguration Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Vera was born in Belle Plaine on August 11, 1918 to Oliver and Mildred (Delvin) Hillstrom. She was baptized and confirmed at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Belle Plaine. On November 20, 1940 she married Henry "Hank" Hormann in Belle Plaine. They were longtime members of the Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine. She worked at the plastics plant in Belle Plaine and at the Lutheran Home. She was also a loving mother to their five sons. Vera is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert and daughter-in-law, Carol Hormann. She is survived by her sons: Gary (Bev) of Phoenix, AZ, Bruce of Waconia, Gordon (Sharon) of Glenwood, Kenneth (Stacey) of Bagley, Daughter in law, Mary Hormann of Grand Rapids, MI, Many Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Sister, Henrietta Stiles of Belle Plaine. Many Nieces & Nephews.
