Viola Bowser

November 10, 1910 — July 7, 2012

Viola Bowser, age 101 of Belle Plaine, died on July 7, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Viola was born in Belle Plaine, Minnesota on November 10, 1910 to Louis and Anna (Parezik) Tolzman. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1927. On September 12, 1939 she married Thomas Bowser at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. She worked as a librarian prior to marriage. Viola lived in the Belle Plaine area all of her life. She was an Avid gardener and had beautiful flowers gardens; she enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Fred Tolzman, Germaine Tolzman, Clara Bowe, Mabel Fermanich and Mayme Schommer. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Cindy) Bowser of Edgewater, MD, Grandson, Tom Bowser and nieces, nephews and friends.
