Wayne C. Kube

Wayne Kube, age 70 of rural Arlington passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at his residence.

There will be a public visitation 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8th at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Covid guidelines will be in place and respected. A funeral service by invitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington. Interment with military rites will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington Township.

Wayne Curtis Kube was born in Gaylord on May 14, 1950 to Edmund and Edna (Raeth) Kube. Wayne was a 1968 graduate of Arlington-Green Isle High School and attended the University of Minnesota Agricultural School. He served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. Wayne married Stella Nimitz on February 28, 1970. Later in life Wayne attended South Central College and in 1997 earned an Agricultural Business degree. On July 25, 1997 Wayne married Wendy Nelson Kelly. He farmed throughout his life and was a Feed Specialist at UFC in LeSueur until retiring in March 2020. Wayne liked camping, fishing, exotic animals and auctions, but most of all he loved his family and his many grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Wendy; sons, Wayne (Krista) Kube, Kevin (Valerie) Kube, Jason (Hilary) Kube, Justin (Laura) Kube, Jeremy (Katelyn) Kube, Ryan Kelly (special friend Kaitlin Stone) and Devin (Marissa) Kelly; 16 grandchildren, Mya, Bradyn, Kyan, Austin (special friend Autumn), Taylor, Parker, Payton, Paris, Carter, Cooper, Addison, Brixen, Cadon, Camdon, Delanie and one-on-the-way; great grandson, Cash; siblings, Kenneth (Marla) Kube, Konnie (Patrick) O’Neil; mother-in-law, Barb Nelson; siblings-in-law, Tim (Kathy) Nelson, Brian (Julie) Nelson, Patrick Nelson (special friend Lisarae Caturia); many nieces and nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Luvern Nelson, son Liam Kelly, siblings Glen and Karen in infancy.
