Wayne Sheldon

Wayne Sheldon, age 89 of Arlington passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society.  A Celebration of Life will be observed Monday, December 6 ^th between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Private interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.

Wayne Leroy Sheldon was born on November 26, 1931 in South Dakota to Everett and Phoebe (Baker) Sheldon. Wayne served in the US Marines during the Korean Era. On July 7, 1956 he married Fancheon Leach in Pipestone, Mn. Wayne initially spent over 10 years working for the Railroad. He continued his education to prepare for a career as a grade school teacher in Ellsworth, Winnebago and Arlington-Green Isle Schools. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandchildren. Wayne enjoyed volunteering his time taking many community members and friends around on errands and for appointments as well as loved being part of meals on wheels.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fancheon; son-in-law, George Jarvis and all of his siblings.

He is survived by daughter; Karla Jarvis of Arlington, grandchildren; Tiffany (Jason) Brockhoff of Arlington, Melissa (Ben) Custalow of Oregon, Jeffrey Bruckschen of LeSueur and Jennifer Weber of LeSueur, great grandchildren; Sommer Brockhoff, Courtney and Thomas Goethke, Jr., sister-in-law; Elsie (Jim) Schaefer of Iowa.
