Wendy L. Beck, age 70, of Henderson, passed away at her home on Monday, March 23, 2026, after a 10 month battle with Melanoma, surrounded by the love of her family. Time of Reflection and Sharing will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 2–5 P.M., with a eulogy shared at 5 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Henderson Lions Club, St. Jude’s Hospital, or ASPCA.
Wendy was born on September 20, 1955, to Glenn and Diana (Hogle) Beck in Arizona. She spent much of her childhood in California and Aspen, Colorado, where her lifelong love of travel began. She married John Sejrup on June 22, 1979 and together they made their home in Henderson, Minnesota, where they raised their six children, along with the many, many “bonus kids” who found their way into Wendy’s heart and never left. They would later divorce.
Wendy was the definition of strength and determination. While raising her children and working full time, she attended Mankato State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She worked for the Coachlight in Henderson before finding her true calling in the pharmaceutical field in Regulatory Affairs, a career she truly loved and took great pride in.
More than anything, Wendy was a family woman. Known to all as “Mama Wendy”, she had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged. Her home was always open and her heart never had limits. Whether you were family by blood or by choice, you were hers.
Wendy loved traveling the world, visiting many states and countries, but her greatest joy was always the people she loved. She was a dedicated member of the Henderson Lions Club for 10 years, took pride in her decorated home, and faithfully participated in the Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk each year. Still, nothing compared to the pride she felt in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the extended family she created through love.
She is survived by her children: Levon (Christine) Rannow of Ogilvie, MN; Nicholas (fiancé, Alecia Hammer) Sejrup of Henderson, MN; Blake (Lisa) Sejrup of Henderson, MN; Krystal Berg of Le Sueur, MN; and Samantha (Jesse Ziesmer) Sejrup of Henderson, MN; son-in-law, Ryan Loose of Henderson, MN; grandchildren, Jazmin, Dylan, Derrick, Dustin, Madelyn, Ella, Dayson, Tristin, Kailey, Chloe, Damion, Breanna, Kylie, Amara, Rowan, Travis, Audrey, Aiden, Kamryn, Victoria and Zoey; great-grandchildren, JJ, Grayson, Braxton, J’Ziah, Salana, Matthew and Catalina; beloved dog, Myrtle; and countless bonus children, family members, and friends who knew her simply as Nana & Mama Wendy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Matthew Sejrup (2005); and her daughter, Heather “Sunshine” Loose (2024).
