William C Dhaene

William C. Dhaene, age 66 of Henderson, died Monday, August 19, 2019 at home with family by his side following his battle with cancer.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, east of Henderson.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur on Thursday, August 22, and will continue Friday morning at church one hour prior to service time.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

William was born on February 23, 1953 in Arlington, MN to Cyril & Felicia (Koch) Dhaene.  He was baptized March of 1953 at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Green Isle, MN and confirmed June 13, 1966 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Henderson, MN.   He attended Henderson Schools and graduated from Henderson High School in 1971.  He married Di Ann Trimbo on July 14, 1979 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Henderson.  William worked at the Ford Motor Plant in St. Paul for over 31 years and retired in 2004.  He enjoyed simple pleasures of life such as playing cards, watching old western movies, taking care of his lawn, bringing his dog "Boss" on early morning car rides, spending time with the love of his life of 40 years, children and 6 grandchildren. He took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow and loved them beyond measure. Love for his family never fell short and he was a foundation of support for us all.

He is survived by his wife Di Ann; children, Matt (Chelsea) Dhaene of Henderson, Kellee (John Jay) Weldon of Le Sueur, and Rick (Lindsey) Dhaene of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Katelyn and Kody Dhaene, Kaide and Ada Weldon, and Madison and Mitchell Dhaene; mother, Felicia Dhaene of St. Peter; siblings, John (Judy) Dhaene of Le Sueur, Pat (Pam) Dhaene of Henderson, Mark (Marlys) Dhaene of Le Sueur, and Lisa (Tim) Enz of St. Peter; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father; brother, Dave Dhaene; and sisters, Mary Jane Beseke and Sue Putz.
