William “Bill” George Haggenmiller, age 83, of Arlington, MN passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Arlington, with Monsignor Eugene Lozinski, presiding. Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Arlington following a luncheon at church.
Bill was born on October 17, 1941, to Nicholas and Margaret (Harens) Haggenmiller in Arlington, MN. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1959 and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, Bill began working at Haren’s Garage before becoming a mechanic for Morgan Power. He spent most of his career working for Busse Construction in Belle Plaine, working there for over 30 years before retiring at 63 years old. During retirement, Bill enjoyed working at auctions and doing heavy equipment work with friends, including fixing paths on his brother Bob’s ravine.
In 1964, Bill met Maggie Voss. They fell in love and were married on October 1, 1966, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. They had two daughters together: Lisa and Kay.
Bill loved to go fishing, especially ice fishing, and working in his shop. He was one of the original members of the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Committee.
Bill is survived by his wife, Maggie; daughters Lisa (Zachary) Nelson of Belle Plaine and Kay Broin of Cologne; grandchildren Mitchell (Jess) Nelson, Matthew (Maggie) Nelson, and Jesse Broin; great-grandchild Amelia Nelson; siblings Betty Kaveney of St. Peter, Joan Budahn of Arlington, and Joe Haggenmiller of Hutchinson; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob Haggenmiller.
