William J. Habeck Jr. age 75 of Carver, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at St. Francis Regional Hospital in Shakopee. Visitation will be on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 9:00-11:30am at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery directly following the visitation. Bill was born on December 30, 1935 to William and Rose (Schwartz) Habeck in Henderson, MN. He grew up in Blakeley and attended Blakeley Country Schools. Bill served in the US Navy. He married Elaine Mager on January 12, 1957 in Shakopee, MN. During their 29 years of marriage, they raised 6 children in Shakopee. Bill worked at Anchor Glass in Shakopee for 36 years before his retirement on July 1, 1997. He later married Dorothy "Dottie" Stephens on February 9, 1998 in Shakopee, MN and they lived in Carver, MN. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his shop and spending time with his children, grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; brother, Elmer; sister Betty Borgardt and uncle, Fritz. He is survived by his children, Steve (Shelly) Habeck of Jordan, Becky (Bob) Snell of New Prague, Kay (John) Polster of Chaska, Brenda (Lino) Baden of Shakopee, Keith (Gloria) Habeck of Farmington, and Cheryl (Jim) Beinhorn of Shakopee; Bill's children's mother, Elaine Mager of Shakopee; Grandchildren, Scott Habeck, Lisa (Jeremy) Schmidt, Mark (Thao) Habeck, Jessica (Mike) Swanson, Sara (Alex) Breuer, Tyler and Travis Polster, Madalyn Baden, Katie and Joey Habeck and Amanda and Tony Beinhorn; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Elaine Meyer of Belle Plaine and Rosemary (Bill) Cameron of LeSueur, MN.
