William "Bill" Norbert Neisen

William "Bill" Neisen, age 62 of Belle Plaine, died on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine with Fr. Brian Lynch officiating. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m until 11 a.m. at the church on Friday. Interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle Plaine following the Mass. Bill was born on April 23, 1955 to Bert and Betty (Savage) Neisen in New Prague, MN. He graduated from the Belle Plaine High School in 1973. He worked in construction for a few years, and then worked for Tri-County Beverage for 20 years delivering beverages to local liquor establishments. He enjoyed farming, and attending auctions in his younger years. He was a resident at Cardinal Ridge in Belle Plaine for 14 years, and then became a resident at the Lutheran Home in 2013. Bill always had a smile for everyone he met. He is survived by his mother, Betty of Belle Plaine; siblings, Mary Jane "Janey" (Gerald) Schoknecht of Belle Plaine, Robert (Mary) Neisen of Webster, Colleen (Ken) Rezac of Webster, Pat (Pete) Krings of Belle Plaine, Gin (Bob) Behnke of Belle Plaine, Ken Neisen of Belle Plaine, Dan (Lori) Neisen of Belle Plaine, Dennis Neisen of Gaylord, John Neisen of Stewart, Colin "Charlie" (special friend, Doris) Neisen of Henderson, and Mike Neisen of Green Isle; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his father, Bert; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald "Shim" and Karen Neisen; and nephew, Scott Schoknecht.
