Willis L. Schleeve

Willis L. Schleeve, age 92 of Le Sueur, formerly of Cleveland, died on Sunday morning, February 28, at the Minnesota Valley Health Facility in Le Sueur. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 3, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Friday morning at church. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN. Willis was born on October 9, 1923 to William and Esther (Ruehl) Schleeve in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County. He grew up in the Sharon Township area and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1941. He worked at the Le Sueur Creamery for several years and married Elaine Moser on Oct. 15, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur. Shortly after their marriage, Willis and Elaine purchased their farm in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County. He farmed his entire life in the Sharon Township area and retired from farming in 1988 and the couple moved to Cleveland in 2006. Willis was a lifetime member of Pioneer Power and served on the Board of Directors for Federal Land Bank Association. Willis is survived by his children; Tom Schleeve & Special friend Holly Millard of Farmington, MN; Tim (Marcie) Schleeve of Burnsville and LuAnn (Steve) Smith of Farmington, MN. 12 grandchildren and 34 Great-grandchildren. Brother, Robert (Edith) Schleeve of Le Sueur and sister, Avis Sebastian of Santa Barbara, CA. Many other loved relatives and friends. He is prceded in death by his parents; wife Elaine in 2011 and sister, Iomie McCabe.
