Wilma Rezner, age 93 of Arlington passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at home. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 16th at Creekside Community Church in Arlington with Rev. Ben Lane and Rev. Gordon Lind officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to service time at the church. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Wilma was born on a farm in Cody, NE on April 19, 1921 to Roy and Eva (Solomon) Andrews. She attended Hasting College and worked for Standard Oil. On January 30, 1960 she married Jack Rezner and became his partner in his rise to Executive Vice President of Sales and Service of The Burlington Northern Railroad. They loved music, entertaining, golf and travel. She had toured all 50 states and Europe. She volunteered with the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, was a P.E.O. member, read to elementary school children, and was a member of The Red Hat Society. Wilma loved everyone and everyone loved her. She made a difference in people's lives with her time, talent and contributions. Wilma is preceded in death by her husband Jack. She is survived by a son Bob (Sandi) Rezner of Arlington, a daughter Barbara (James) Murlowski of Denver, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother Ivor (Evelyn) Andrews of Michigan. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
